Telecoms Installation Engineer (Pre-Staging / Build)

Overview

In this role you prepare and configure telecommunications equipment in a Coventry warehouse, building and pre-staging hardware for deployment. You work with racks, cabinets and network hardware to ensure components are ready for site installation. The position supports commissioning and delivers thorough quality checks and documentation. This long-term contract offers stability within a growing telecoms-focused environment and a clear pathway to impact large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Building, assembling and pre-staging telecommunications network equipment
• Racking, stacking and configuring telecoms hardware within racks and cabinets
• Completing quality checks, labelling and technical documentation ahead of site deployment
• Supporting commissioning activities and preparing equipment for delivery to customer sites

Key requirements

• Experience in a telecommunications installation or engineering environment
• Experience with telecoms racks, cabinets, network equipment or transmission systems
• Good attention to detail with the ability to follow technical build documentation
• SDH / DWDM experience desirable but not essential
