Overview
In this role you will provide proactive, hands-on administrative support to Wealth Planners and Paraplanners, ensuring smooth handling of new business and ongoing client servicing. You will contribute to accurate documentation, provider interactions, and timely processing of cases to uphold service standards. The position supports private clients, families, and charities within a leading wealth management group. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain compliance and high-quality client experiences, contributing to the firm’s client-centered mission.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and pre-populate client recommendation letters, suitability reports and related forms
- Obtain quotes and provider illustrations to support research and review
- Process new business applications through provider portals, email and post, from submission to completion
- Deliver core servicing activities aligned to client needs (e.g., surrenders, withdrawals, income payments)
- Submit letters of authority to product providers and follow up for information
- Liaise with product providers to obtain updates and progress actions
- Support team projects and contribute to data management and reporting
- Check, reconcile and follow up on outstanding fees and commissions
- Complete day-to-day administrative tasks and maintain accurate records in the back-office system
- Maintain understanding of role requirements from a Schroders and regulatory perspective
- Ensure client administration complies with guidance and SOPs
- Keep Wealth Planners informed of client developments, risks and required actions
- Participate in team meetings and escalate issues as needed
Key requirements
- Experience in a wealth planning environment with pensions, investment bonds (onshore/offshore), VCT and EIS tax-efficient products, and protection
- Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience supporting clients with professional, timely service
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics at grade A–C/9–4 (or equivalent)
- Confident IT skills across Microsoft Office
- Strong administrative capability with high accuracy and attention to detail
