Overview

As a Senior Site Manager you will lead on small to medium sites within Murphy’s Energy Team, ensuring delivery on time and to standard. You’ll plan programmes, control resources, and maintain client engagement while coordinating multiple sites to meet project requirements. The role combines site leadership with safety, planning, and stakeholder communication to support Murphy’s EPC and energy transition projects. This is a chance to influence delivery on major energy infrastructure programs and work within a values-driven, innovative contractor.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver work on small/medium sites to meet schedule and standards
  • Plan, review and deliver short/medium contract programmes
  • Monitor progress and expenditure; escalate critical issues to Project Manager
  • Line-manage Section Managers and other supervisors/contractors
  • Provide periodic client updates on project progress
  • Ensure risk assessments are created, maintained, and reviewed
  • Assess resources (plant, labour, materials) for 1–3 month horizons
  • Foster close working relationships with Murphy teams and client/subcontractors for safe, timely site completion
  • Coordinate all site activities in line with customer specifications and procedures

Key requirements

  • Experience delivering Civil Engineering/Construction Schemes
  • Extensive background in site/contract management delivering contracts of similar value
  • Solid health and safety knowledge with a related qualification
  • HNC Building Studies or degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management
  • Leadership and people management
