Overview

As an AI governance lead at Deloitte, you drive the delivery of governance initiatives from concept to production for Financial Services clients. You shape vision, strategy, and foundational policies to enable trusted AI while ensuring compliance and ethical standards. You collaborate with senior stakeholders across advisory and delivery, translating regulatory expectations into practical controls. This role blends client engagement, proposal development, and staying ahead of AI governance trends to deliver measurable impact.

Responsibilities

  • Lead AI governance projects from conception to production delivery
  • Define vision, objectives, and strategic approach for AI governance
  • Design foundational policies, principles, and standards
  • Work across advisory and delivery to enable trustworthy AI for decision-making and operational excellence
  • Advise on why, what, and how to establish robust AI governance for quality and trust
  • Present to stakeholders unfamiliar with AI decision-making and articulate advantages and caveats
  • Design organizational structures and operating models embedding governance best practices
  • Engage with senior client stakeholders and internal leadership to shape and deliver strategies
  • Stay current with AI governance trends, tooling, and certifications
  • Develop compelling AI governance proposals and secure engagements through presentations
  • Maintain understanding of AI technologies to address governance challenges

Key requirements

  • Experience in AI governance within Financial Services
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements impacting AI governance (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001)
  • Desirable certifications in ISO42001, AIGP
  • Experience designing or reviewing governance frameworks and controls
  • Leading risk-based initiatives covering AI lifecycle (agentic AI, genAI, data analytics, model risk)
  • Translating regulatory expectations into operating controls and evidence
  • Strong executive presence and stakeholder management with C-suite
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams
