AVP, Automation & AI Delivery

Overview

In this role you will shape Arch’s AI capabilities by leading end-to-end, human-centric AI tool delivery. You’ll partner with senior stakeholders and the Strategic Analytics team to design, build and monitor AI solutions that enhance profitability and international growth. You will coordinate data scientists and engineers to deliver scalable, secure tools with strong business context. Your work combines creativity, technical rigor and governance to drive adoption and measurable impact across Arch Insurance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end delivery of human-centric AI tools from design to deployment with secure, scalable operations
• Promote adoption of automation and AI while addressing barriers to uptake
• Maintain a prioritized pipeline of AI opportunities and drive value-based prioritisation
• Lead structured discovery with stakeholders to define problems, success metrics and feasibility
• Own and report on delivery scope, progress, risks and dependencies
• Ensure delivery standards for requirements, documentation, testing, releases, monitoring and incident management
• Implement feedback loops and metrics to track adoption, trust, and impact for SA leadership
• Collaborate with business and IT to scale high-impact AI tools into enterprise-grade solutions
• Support training and act as an AI SME for business stakeholders on automation and use cases
• Ensure solutions comply with Arch policies, privacy, security, model governance and third‑party risk

Key requirements

• Programme/Project management experience with multiple concurrent initiatives
• Exceptional stakeholder management across functions and seniority
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to translate between business and technical audiences
• Comfort in ambiguity and ability to break complex problems into actionable plans
• Delivery mindset focused on measurable outcomes and continuous improvement
• Working knowledge of automation and AI technologies (e.g., GenAI, multi-agent AI, IDP RPA, workflow automation)
• Understanding of risk and controls for automation/AI in regulated environments (privacy, security, governance, third-party risk)
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating offshore resources
• Experience defining technology and data requirements to enhance business processes
• Track record of productionisation with monitoring, support and adoption
