Overview

In this role you will lead financial reporting, control and governance for Statkraft’s UK business, ensuring robust financial discipline and strategic support. You will work with the UK Board, trustees and cross-functional teams to strengthen processes and governance across a multi-entity setup. You will manage treasury, liquidity and pension scheme governance while partnering with the Europe Finance organisation to drive improvements. Responsibilities

  • Lead financial reporting and control including month-, quarter- and year-end close, balance-sheet governance, reconciliations and segment analysis
  • Coordinate external audit and statutory reporting requirements
  • Prepare financial reporting, analysis and presentations for the UK Board of Directors
  • Oversee treasury and liquidity across the UK legal-entity portfolio (bonds, guarantees, obligations)
  • Manage governance of a subsidiary Pension Scheme with trustees and advisers
  • Support business-performance reporting and strategic initiatives led by the Head of Finance UK
  • Collaborate with the wider Europe Finance organisation to improve processes and governance

Key requirements

  • Qualified professional accountant: ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
  • Strong accounting, financial reporting, control, statutory reporting, audit and treasury experience
  • Experience managing liquidity and balance-sheet integrity in a multi-entity organisation
  • Proven people-leadership and team development ability
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management, with senior leaders and boards
  • Judgement, attention to detail, and ability to balance operations with strategic/process-improvement work
  • Experience in energy or complex international business is advantageous
