Sprinkler Design Engineer

Overview

In this role you contribute to the design and delivery of compliant sprinkler systems for fire protection projects. You work within a design team to produce installation drawings and models, perform hydraulic calculations, and ensure adherence to standards while coordinating with clients and subcontractors. You will mentor junior designers and participate in cross-team coordination to meet project timelines. This is a hands-on, client-facing opportunity to shape safe, high-quality fire protection solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and production of sprinkler system installation drawings and coordination models
• Produce hydraulic calculations
• Conduct onsite surveys when needed
• Attend coordination meetings with the client’s task team
• Verify designs comply with standards and project specs
• Mentor junior designers in the department

Key requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in fire protection sprinkler design
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
• Experience with hydraulic calculations using Canute FHC
• Knowledge of LPC Sprinkler Rules
• LCPB Basic Design Qualification
• FM and NFPA standards knowledge advantageous
