AI Data Associate – Portuguese, Artificial General Intelligence

Overview

In this ML Data Associate role, you will support foundational labeling tasks across speech, text, image, and video data to improve Alexa and related AI capabilities. You will work within a cross-functional team, maintain strict confidentiality, and ensure high-quality data labeling that aligns with KPIs. You’ll act as a subject-matter expert for ML data workflows and contribute to process improvements and quality. This position offers hands-on influence over data quality and model performance in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of customer data and privacy
• Handle diverse data types (text, speech, image, video)
• Deliver high-quality labeled data per guidelines to meet KPIs using in-house tools
• Serve as SME for ML data workflows and annotation (text, speech, image, video)
• Make logical decisions in ambiguous situations
• Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and ability to switch between requirement categories
• Support daily operational metrics (AHT, quality, TAT) for multiple tasks
• Own end-to-end data labeling processes with minimal instruction
• Contribute to root cause analysis, identify error patterns, and propose quality improvements
• Identify and suggest SOP/tools improvements to unblock operations
• Provide floor support to clarify internal queries as needed

Key requirements

• Associate degree or higher
• Fluency in Portuguese (reading, writing, speaking)
• Fluency in English (C1 or above)
• Experience writing business strategy documents and plans
• Experience researching, gathering, and synthesizing information from multiple sources
