Overview
As Quality Manager, you’ll champion a proactive quality culture across a major project in Scotland. You will partner with civil, design, commercial and supply chain teams to implement quality plans, assurance processes and audits. You’ll drive quality performance, investigate issues, and foster continuous improvement while ensuring Zero Harm and Right First Time. This role offers a chance to shape delivery on high‑impact infrastructure work within a collaborative energy and infrastructure group.

Responsibilities
- Lead and support development and implementation of Project Quality Plans, ITPs and assurance processes
- Provide expert quality coaching to project delivery teams and supply chain
- Ensure customer requirements are understood and quality controls are in place
- Drive quality metrics, reporting and trend-based improvement actions
- Support use of digital quality systems to monitor deliverables and issues
- Coordinate quality documentation and assurance submissions
- Lead and support audits (internal, supplier, and external certification)
- Collaborate with customers, designers, consultants, contractors and supply chain
- Investigate quality issues, determine root causes and share lessons learned
- Champion continuous improvement and challenge existing ways of working
- Develop quality capability within project teams
- Maintain focus on Zero Harm and Right First Time
Key requirements
- Strong experience in Civils/build construction
- Solid understanding of Quality Management and QA in major projects
- ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor training
- Experience driving business improvement and leading change
- Strong coaching, communication and influencing skills
- Ability to analyse information, identify trends and translate into improvements
- Experience in multidisciplinary project teams
- Attention to detail with delivery through to completion
- Proficiency in producing and presenting objective reports
- Knowledge of Office 365, SharePoint and Power BI
- CQI Chartered Membership, or actively pursuing Chartered status
