Senior Civil Engineer to lead complex civil design initiatives for water and wastewater projects, partnering with Northumbrian Water within Stantec’s Living Water Enterprise. You will influence the project lifecycle from feasibility to delivery, mentor multidisciplinary teams, and drive value for clients and communities. Responsibilities

• Lead complex civil design projects across water and wastewater schemes
• Provide technical leadership and problem-solving in collaboration with Principal Civil Engineers
• Coordinate across disciplines with Project Technical Lead and Project Manager
• Engage with clients, contractors, and regulators to align on requirements
• Advance Design & Build collaboration ensuring constructability and cost-efficiency
• Develop concept-stage solutions and optioneering for best client value
• Provide technical assurance and design leadership
• Mentor junior engineers and apprentices
• Ensure delivery of high-quality designs on time and within budget

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Chartered status or working towards with ICE, CIWEM, or equivalent
• Strong UK water industry experience in detailed design and delivery
• Leadership and communication skills to inspire and drive outcomes
• Attention to detail, risk assessment, value realization, and strategic thinking
