Overview

In this role, you will provide clinical and operational leadership for the Adult ASD service, ensuring safe, high-quality assessment and delivery. You’ll oversee governance, performance and team development, shaping the ASD pathway alongside clinical and operational colleagues. You’ll drive service improvements, capacity planning and SOPs, making a tangible impact on patient outcomes within a clinician-led setting. Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and operational leadership across the Adult ASD service
  • Oversee safe, high-quality diagnostic assessment and service delivery
  • Manage capacity, waiting lists, triage and performance
  • Lead and support a multidisciplinary team including line management
  • Oversee clinical governance, safeguarding, risk management and QA
  • Support pathway development, SOPs, audits and clinical standards improvements
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational colleagues to shape the ASD pathway

Key requirements

  • Significant post-qualification experience in ASD assessment, neurodevelopmental or mental health services
  • Experience in a senior clinical leadership role
  • Current NMC registration with Advanced Clinical Practice, or HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist
  • Direct experience within ASD assessment pathways
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams with supervision and line management
  • Strong knowledge of clinical governance, safeguarding, risk and quality improvement
  • Experience managing service delivery, capacity and performance in a busy clinical environment
