Employee Relations Partner

Overview

In this role you will lead the handling and escalation of complex ER cases within a unionised environment, driving a proactive, resolution-focused culture. You join the People Business Partnering Team and the Resolution Centre to embed the Resolution Framework and support colleagues across the organisation. You will triage cases, guide early resolution, and apply transformational justice practices to options and outcomes. You partner with leadership to optimise the employee journey and performance management in a hybrid West London setting.

Responsibilities

• Triaging resolution requests and directing cases through the Resolution Index
• Leading early resolution of complex cases where relationships have broken down
• Providing expert guidance on performance and absence management
• Applying transformational justice practices to outline and guide resolution options
• Facilitating conversations, mediation, and coaching to support resolution
• Advising managers and assisting tactical people interventions using insights across business areas

Key requirements

• Extensive ER experience in a unionised environment
• Knowledge of the Resolution Framework or equivalent
• Strong working knowledge of employment law and up-to-date legislation
• Experience in restorative practices and transformative justice
• Ability to coach managers and provide consultancy on people-related issues
• Experience handling complex cases and advising early resolution
