Senior Associate, Private Client Services, Advisory, Tax, Belfast or Derry, Londonderry

Overview

In this role you will join EY’s Private Client Services in Belfast to advise a diverse client base of high net-worth individuals and entrepreneurs on personal tax matters, including cross-border issues and wealth optimisation. You will work with a collaborative team, delivering complex advisory projects and mentoring juniors while leveraging EY’s global network. You will help clients manage tax risk, optimise wealth, and support estate and succession planning. This is a growth-focused role with strong mentorship and development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on a portfolio of private client tax advisory projects and ensure timely delivery
• Assist senior team to maintain technical excellence and practical advisory approach
• Build and sustain relationships with clients and colleagues to deliver excellent service
• Provide development support to junior team members through supervision, coaching and mentoring

Key requirements

• Personal advisory tax experience
• Strong tax technical skills and willingness to develop advisory expertise
• Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage budgets/fees
• Ability to integrate with new teams and build relationships at all levels
• Confident communicator with strong written and oral skills
• Client-focused and commercially aware
• Ability to identify risk and escalate when needed
• CTA part qualified or ATT with two years post-qualified tax experience or ACA/CA/ACCA with relevant experience
