Overview
As the senior EMEA HR leader for cross-border tax and mobility, you drive governance, compliance and technical excellence across the region. You collaborate with HR and business partners to manage complex multi-jurisdictional tax matters and mobility programs, shaping policies within a global framework. You oversee evolving work models, including remote arrangements, and act as the regional touchpoint for mobility escalations and strategic initiatives. This role combines expert tax discipline with people leadership to deliver credible risk-managed solutions that support the firm’s regional growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead EMEA cross-border employee tax agenda with governance, compliance, and risk management.
- Provide technical leadership on complex cross-border tax matters (e.g., Posted Workers Directive, social security, country-specific obligations).
- Assess tax impacts of evolving work models and remote work arrangements.
- Oversee UK–US business travel lanes in collaboration with the Global Cross-Border Tax team.
- Drive cross-functional delivery with Tax, Payroll, Legal, Immigration, HR, and external providers to ensure tax and reporting compliance.
- Act as the senior EMEA Global Mobility lead with regional oversight and escalation support.
- Advise regional HR leadership on mobility risks and strategic matters.
- Support acquisitions, integrations, and other strategic initiatives across EMEA.
- Represent EMEA in global Cross-Border Tax and Global Mobility agenda and ensure regional policy alignment.
- Monitor regulatory changes and strengthen controls and governance frameworks.
- Lead and develop the EMEA Cross-Border Tax and Global Mobility teams with a focus on performance and risk control.
Key requirements
- Depth of technical expertise in cross-border employee tax, expatriate tax, or Global Mobility.
- Strong knowledge of European cross-border tax, posted-worker rules, and related regulations.
- Experience leading in a complex global matrix and partnering with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong risk, controls orientation and practical judgement.
- Executive stakeholder management and credibility with senior HR and business leaders.
