Overview
As the Littauer Chair of Engineering Materials, you will lead a prestigious, endowed research program within the School of Engineering at the University of Surrey. You will drive interdisciplinary materials research, strengthen industry and Defence/security partnerships, and shape education and research strategy to elevate the university’s national and international profile. This role offers an autonomous platform with dedicated funding to develop a world-class agenda in materials science and engineering. You will mentor a growing research community and build collaborations across disciplines to deliver high-impact outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Lead and grow an internationally recognized Engineering Materials research program
- Secure significant external funding and manage research activities
- Foster collaborations with industry, Defence and security partners
- Shape the future direction of materials research and education at Surrey
- Mentor and grow the materials community within the School and Faculty
- Engage with trustees of the Littauer estate and external stakeholders
