Overview

In this role you will shape the EMEA strategy within Wellington’s Enterprise Strategy Office, focusing on wealth solutions and product development. You will lead cross-functional, end-to-end product initiatives and work closely with regional leaders and distribution channels to fuel growth. You will translate industry insights into strategic plans, business cases, and governance materials for senior leadership. This position offers impact across asset classes and a chance to influence product design in a fast-moving wealth landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end product development by coordinating cross-functional teams from concept to launch
  • Lead strategic projects for senior Wellington leaders
  • Build locally relevant investment strategy business cases in collaboration with regional management
  • Author and present product proposals with rationale, financial impact, risk, and implementation plans
  • Develop financial models and business cases assessing viability, flows, margins, and resource needs
  • Maintain deep understanding of client needs, competition, regulation, and market movements across asset classes
  • Identify emerging wealth distribution models and platform innovations influencing product design
  • Collaborate with wealth sales, fund development, and product teams to uncover opportunities
  • Partner with market research to translate data into strategic decisions
  • Mentor and develop talent within the ESO function

Key requirements

  • 10+ years in asset management with product strategy, development, client engagement, and wealth solutions
  • Proven track record of end-to-end product development including launching investment vehicles in EMEA
  • Experience preparing governance materials including financial modeling and commercial analysis
  • Ability to influence and advise senior leaders using data and research
  • Comfort with consensus-based decision making
  • Ability to foster innovation and drive outcomes in complex environments
