Senior Electrical Engineer

Overview

In this Senior Engineer role in Liverpool, you help establish and grow an in-house MEP offering within a large consultancy. You work closely with the Director to shape the team, lead project delivery, and convert an existing pipeline into tangible outcomes. You impact design strategy, electrical systems design, and energy-efficient solutions for major buildings. The position offers fast progression toward an associate role and eventual leadership of your own electrical team, in a modern, flexible work environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design strategy and conceptual design for electrical installations
• Perform design calculations for electrical systems on major projects
• Produce electrical design drawings, diagrams, schematics, specifications, and schedules
• Ensure designs meet energy efficiency and low-carbon requirements
• Assist with growth and development of the electrical team
• Lead an M&E team in coordinating and delivering projects, including meetings and reviews
• Manage client relationships and interpret project briefs to align with client needs

Key requirements

• 7+ years of experience in building services
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• Experience leading teams and coordinating projects
• Strong client-facing and design coordination skills
