Overview

In this role you will advance contaminated site assessment and remediation efforts within a federal and northern environment context. You will work with the Site Investigation and Remediation team to manage scope, safety, and regulatory compliance while mentoring field staff. The position focuses on delivering Phase I/II ESAs, remediation options analyses, risk assessment, and regulatory reporting to clients and communities. You’ll collaborate across disciplines to drive project execution, safety culture, and business development, contributing to impactful environmental outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and lead a strong health and safety culture on projects
  • Develop scopes of work and cost estimates for Phase I ESAs, Phase II ESAs, remediation plans, risk assessments, and regulatory monitoring
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors to execute scopes of work
  • Conduct or lead field work on complex projects and mentor junior field staff
  • Liaise with field staff and technical leads during project execution
  • Analyze project data and prepare regulatory-compliant technical reports
  • Contribute to marketing, business development, and proposal preparation
  • Collaborate with project managers to properly resource projects

Key requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or Hydrogeology
  • Registered or able to register with NAPEG
  • Minimum five (5) years of federal site investigation/remediation experience or in northern environments
  • Knowledge of contaminated site investigations/remediation in northern environments
  • Understanding of PFAS investigation/remediation approaches (preferred)
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Ability to mentor staff and work in a collaborative team
  • Willingness to travel for field oversight and meetings
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs
