Overview

In this role you will advance neural networks for game rendering and streaming, shaping cutting-edge visuals and latency improvements. You’ll work within VCG to push state-of-the-art ML methods in production-ready graphics and video processing. Collaborating across teams, you’ll prototype new approaches and contribute to publications and patents. Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve core generative models for graphics and video processing (live streaming, game rendering)
  • Research and prototype graphics/video enhancement methods and data pipelines from generative models
  • Collaborate on publications and patent submissions
  • Contribute to cross-team R&D efforts within Sony Interactive Entertainment

Key requirements

  • 5+ years of demonstrable research experience in industry or academia
  • Strong background in TensorFlow or PyTorch; Python and CV/graphics libraries
  • Experience in developing advanced image/video/graphics processing or computer vision applications (≥3 years for ML engineer, ≥5 years for Senior ML engineer)
  • Evidence of leading technical developments via at least one top-tier publication (CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, SIGGRAPH)
  • Solid knowledge of neural network architectures and loss functions; experience with convolutional, recurrent, transformer, diffusion models
  • Experience with training and evaluating deep neural networks on large datasets; familiarity with Python tools like HDF5
