Overview
In this role, you will independently manage a caseload of property damage claims within a reputable defendant firm, and contribute to higher-value matters as part of a collaborative team. You will align casework with client SLAs and industry best practices, assess risk, and maintain productive workflows. You’ll build relationships across internal and external partners to support the firm’s goals and mentor junior team members. This hybrid Manchester/Birmingham role offers a meaningful opportunity to influence outcomes in commercial insurance disputes.

Responsibilities
- Independently manage a caseload of property damage claims
- Contribute to higher-value cases within a collaborative team
- Interpret client needs and ensure alignment with SLAs and best practices
- Assess risk and justify decisions to stakeholders
- Organise and prioritise tasks to improve productivity
- Cultivate relationships with internal and external partners
- Mentor and be primary point of contact for junior staff
Key requirements
- Qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive
- Minimum 6 months experience handling own caseload of property insurance claims
- Robust technical proficiency in commercial insurance
- Enthusiasm for all aspects of commercial insurance
- Substantial experience desirable, but those with limited experience will be considered
