As Senior Project Manager in Preconstruction, you will lead the full preconstruction lifecycle for major interior refurbishment and fit-out projects, from opportunity through tender to close. You will shape strategy, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and drive profitable, high-quality bids aligned with customer needs. Responsibilities
- Lead bid and preconstruction strategy for major projects and frameworks
- Manage first-stage and second-stage tendering through to contract close
- Create strategies to maximise conversion and profitability
- Lead post-tender interviews and senior customer engagement
- Direct internal project teams and external consultants / supply chain
- Allocate resources, maintain momentum, and ensure governance approvals
- Ensure commercial robustness and profitable handover
- Identify risks, plan mitigations, and drive corrective actions
- Support commercial negotiations with customers and teams
- Reduce bid errors and improve certainty
Key requirements
- Proven experience leading preconstruction / bid delivery on major construction or interiors projects
- Strong second-stage tendering / PCSA experience
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management
- Strong commercial acumen and risk management
- Experience managing multidisciplinary internal teams
