Responsibilities
- Define end-to-end security architectures and Google Cloud security solutions aligned to business needs
- Design secure system architectures following best-practice patterns to balance user needs with risk controls
- Implement and justify security measures in identity management (Cloud IAM), network and infrastructure protection, and cloud-native security
- Lead or participate in problem-solving sessions (whiteboarding) with cross-functional teams and clients
- Review client security posture and implement enhancements; communicate design decisions effectively
- Deliver security solutions on large-scale infrastructure or integration projects
- Apply innovative security architecture approaches to challenging problems and provide long-term strategy across organizations
Key requirements
- Solid foundation in information security
- Experience delivering security solutions on large-scale infrastructure or integration projects
- Proven history with Google Cloud security concepts and architecture
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Security Engineer, CISSP, CISM, TOGAF, SABSA)
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments with multiple stakeholders
- Security expertise spanning IAM, network/infrastructure protection, cloud-native security, monitoring and threat defense
- Problem-solving orientation
