Overview

In this role you will shape winning bids for a reputed construction contractor. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to understand client needs, craft compelling tender responses, and present commercially competitive proposals that balance risk and opportunity. You will lead bid strategy, coordinate content, and guide interviews to secure future workload. This is a client‑facing, highly collaborative role that drives successful outcomes across public and private sector projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep understanding of client aspirations to deliver strong tender submissions
• Lead and coordinate bid content to ensure consistent messaging and presentation
• Manage bids from tender receipt to handover to production
• Lead bid teams at conferences, interviews, and post-tender discussions
• Formulate winning strategies covering quality, design, innovation, and commercial responses
• Hold launch and regular review meetings to keep bids on track
• Oversee production of bid documents and liaise with printers/designers
• Negotiate to final contract terms
• Present at client meetings and interviews with strong commercial grounding

Key requirements

• Bid management and coordination experience in traditional contract forms
• Proven success in winning bids/tenders in the construction industry
• Strong analytical, oral, and presentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids and work with cross‑functional teams
• Degree or membership of CIOB/ICE preferred
