Responsibilities
- Contribute to technical delivery of highways projects across all design stages
- Collaborate with clients to shape and influence highway schemes in the region
- Support delivery of projects with cross-UK teams on both large-scale and smaller commissions
- Ensure high standards of quality, safety, and consistency in project outputs
- Oversee and review the work of others to ensure technical excellence
- Lead, mentor and support junior engineers and apprentices to develop skills
- Take accountability for own work and promote best practice across the team
Key requirements
- Experience in highways infrastructure design across full project lifecycle (concept to delivery)
- Working knowledge of CDM and BIM processes
- Confidence applying road design standards and guidance
- Experience using Civil 3D (or similar design software)
- Commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure design solutions
- Sound engineering principles, detail-oriented, pragmatic problem-solving
