Overview

In this role you will lead the end-to-end development and deployment of scalable, production-grade ML systems for diverse clients in life sciences. You’ll shape architecture, standards, and best practices while collaborating with cross-functional teams. You’ll translate complex concepts for customers and mentors to grow our engineering culture. Responsibilities

  • Lead technical scoping and architectural decisions for high-impact ML systems
  • Design and build production-grade ML software, tools, and scalable infrastructure
  • Define and implement best practices for deploying machine learning at scale
  • Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, product managers, and commercial teams to solve client challenges
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and partners, translating concepts into actionable strategies
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, shaping the team’s engineering culture and depth

Key requirements

  • Understanding of the full ML lifecycle with hands-on experience deploying models using TensorFlow or PyTorch
  • Strong software engineering background with Python, building robust, reusable systems
  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) including architecture, security, infrastructure
  • Significant experience with Docker and Kubernetes for scalable applications
  • Ability to work autonomously in fast-paced, high-growth environments
  • Excellent communication skills, able to guide technical and non-technical stakeholders
