Overview

In this role you will lead calibration and development for customer powertrains with a focus on hybrids, working on-site to support validation and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust calibration strategies that meet drivability, emissions, and performance targets. The role offers hands-on testing, data-driven problem solving, and international validation experiences, contributing to the shift toward lower CO2 mobility. Responsibilities

  • Lead calibration and development activities for customer powertrains, emphasizing hybrid systems to meet performance, emissions, and drivability targets
  • Analyze powertrain data to identify and resolve system-level issues
  • Coordinate cross-functional communication to ensure technical alignment
  • Validate OBD strategies and ensure compliance and functionality
  • Execute and analyze OBD tests and document for regulatory purposes
  • Drive validation of customer requirements using targeted testing methods
  • Develop action plans to meet project milestones and motivate teams
  • Conduct test driving for OBD data acquisition and calibration refinement
  • Support calibration development and validation of engine and hybrid components
  • Create and optimize tools to support calibration workflows
  • Participate in test trips and validation loops, locally and internationally
  • Pursue structured training to broaden calibration expertise
  • Advance aftertreatment calibration and emissions compliance strategies
  • Apply advanced thermal management calibration techniques for conventional and hybrid powertrains
  • Develop, validate, and optimize OBD calibration strategies to meet legislative requirements

Key requirements

  • A degree in Engineering and 2+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of Powertrain Control Module software, especially in hybrid applications
  • Proficiency with INCA, CANalyzer, CANoe, Creta, Uniplot
  • Familiarity with safety standards like IEC 61508, ISO 26262, EN 50126
  • Experience in vehicle-level testing and hybrid system validation
  • Excellent time management and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Hands-on experience with data acquisition software/hardware
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office and engineering tools (INCA, Uniplot, MATLAB, etc.)
  • Ability to manipulate complex Excel files for data analysis
  • Experience in customer-facing roles with clear and effective reporting
