Overview
In this role you will provide expert technical leadership across fire engineering, regulatory compliance and risk management. You will lead the development of the organisation’s Fire Safety Strategy and review complex fire engineering submissions and FRAEWs, supporting Safety Case Reports for higher-risk buildings. You will advise on legislative change, develop competency programmes and drive continuous improvement of fire safety governance. Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical leadership in fire engineering, regulatory compliance and risk management
- Lead the development and articulation of the Fire Safety Strategy
- Review complex fire engineering submissions, Fire Safety Strategies and FRAEWs
- Support the preparation of Safety Case Reports for higher-risk buildings
- Provide technical assurance across a diverse residential portfolio
- Advise on legislative change affecting fire safety governance
- Develop competency programmes and training
- Commission specialist consultants when required and ensure governance improvements
Key requirements
- Extensive experience in fire safety leadership within residential or complex portfolios
- Expert knowledge of fire engineering, regulatory compliance and risk management
- Experience reviewing complex submissions and Safety Case Reports for higher-risk buildings
- Ability to influence strategy and governance with senior stakeholders
