Technical Program Manager, Amazon Application Security

Overview

In this role you will lead the adoption of application security processes across internal teams, coordinating with cross-functional partners to improve security postures. You will define success criteria, govern project plans, and drive ensuring timely delivery of security initiatives. You’ll build relationships with security and business stakeholders, scale security guidance, and guide remediation through threat modeling and architecture reviews. Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage all phases of the project lifecycle with clear success criteria and milestones
• Collaborate with internal customers to understand needs and improve security posture
• Architect and manage scope-of-work documents with customers and hold stakeholders accountable
• Build and manage relationships with internal security teams and customers to meet security goals
• Guide evolution of internal security support solutions and prioritize work for maximum impact
• Use system design knowledge to scope architecture, review threat models, and guide remediation
• Define and implement best practices, processes, and tools to scale security guidance and builder support
• Own business proposals and metrics for security leadership
• Identify and manage program risks and escalate as needed
• Make sound decisions in a dynamic, priority-changing environment
• Negotiate and influence across teams beyond direct reports
• Foster a positive, inclusive work environment leveraging diverse perspectives

• Experience building and evaluating system-level technical designs
