Overview
You join UL Solutions in Warrington to lead Containment/Fire Stopping certification projects, driving compliance with international standards and third-party certification. You work with global engineering teams to translate client needs into test programs and timelines that satisfy UL and external requirements. You will coordinate lab activities, communicate with clients, and help shape safer buildings through rigorous testing. Responsibilities
- Independently manage Containment/Fire Stopping projects by defining scope, cost, timeline, and samples
- Collaborate with global engineering teams to understand testing processes and standards (EN/EAD/ETAG) and support third‑party certification
- Communicate with clients to explain UL requirements, provide cost estimates, and negotiate timelines and sample needs
- Develop test programs by reviewing documentation, evaluating samples, and applying UL standards
- Identify non‑compliance issues and inform clients of required changes or scope adjustments
- Coordinate complex lab activities, prepare instructions and data sheets for technicians, and set completion dates
- Travel to carry out inspections, sampling activities, or witnessing tests
Key requirements
- Engineering degree (Mechanical, Materials Science, Chemical, or Fire Safety Engineering)
- 1-3 years of experience in Testing, Inspection, and/or Certification within the Fire Safety industry
- Knowledge of third‑party certification, EN/EAD/ETAG marking is a plus
