Overview
In this role you drive cost management for real estate projects across healthcare, education and infrastructure, working with a Bristol-based UK South team. You will manage cost planning, procurement strategy and contract administration from design through completion, aligning with client objectives and delivering commercial performance. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders, shaping cost outcomes on diverse projects. Responsibilities
- Lead cost planning and prepare indicative budgets and appraisals
- Advise on procurement strategy and prepare tender documents
- Manage selection and performance of contractors; govern commercial/contractual aspects
- Involved in pre and post-contract quantity surveying
- Support client accounts and stakeholder management
- Contribute to overall project cost control from design to handover
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align project costs with client goals
- Participate in mentoring and knowledge sharing within the team
Key requirements
- Proven technical delivery experience in cost management
- Experience managing own projects within related sectors
- Previous cost manager experience in a consultancy environment
- Client-facing with high-quality technical delivery
- Stakeholder management with focus on developing client accounts
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar technical discipline
- MRICS or working toward MRICS
