Responsibilities
- Supervise classes during short-term teacher absences and keep pupils engaged
- Deliver pre-set learning activities while adapting support for individual SEND needs
- Build positive relationships to foster confidence, participation and independence
- Promote a calm, safe, inclusive learning environment using positive behaviour support
- Act as a consistent, encouraging role model across the school
Key requirements
- Strong communication, behaviour management, and relationship-building skills are essential
- Experience in education, SEND, care, youth work or related settings is desirable but not essential
