Overview

In this role you will support Cirrus Logic’s global business from Edinburgh by drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial and technology contracts. You will advise on data protection, AI and IP licensing, and help manage contractual risk while collaborating with cross-functional teams across locations. You’ll drive improvements in AI-assisted contract review and manage the in-house contract management system. Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate and advise on commercial and technology contracts
  • Support strategic supplier and services arrangements
  • Manage contractual risk and provide guidance on data protection, AI and IP licensing
  • Contribute commercial input on contract issues and assist other legal team members
  • Develop and enhance AI usage in contract review and management
  • Maintain and develop in-house contract management system and metrics

Key requirements

  • Extensive experience as a commercial contracts paralegal or contracts manager, or solicitor (in-house or private practice)
  • Strong experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts
  • Experience using AI tools for contract review and analysis
  • Exposure to technology/IT contracts, SaaS/software licensing, IP licensing, and services/supplier contracts
  • Commercial awareness balancing legal risk with business objectives
  • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication; strong stakeholder management and client-service skills
