Overview

As Principal Electrical Design Engineer, you drive how we deliver electrical engineering and steer our shift to more efficient ways of working. You will lead by example in a high-standards environment and collaborate with multiple departments to translate requirements into robust modular designs. Responsibilities

  • Be a recognized leader in your area of expertise within the organisation
  • Ensure all work complies with company standards and EN market standards
  • Provide technical information for manuals and documentation
  • Maintain and promote professional standards
  • Collaborate with designers and other departments to clarify specifications and translate requirements into modular designs
  • Develop design-related tools and automation
  • Improve departmental processes
  • Support the Electrical Engineering Manager with department running
  • Liaise with sub-contractors and carry out supplier/site visits
  • Proficient use of AutoCAD Electrical, Excel, Word, and Outlook

Key requirements

  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (Postgraduate preferred)
  • Experience in designing machine control systems
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to analyse data
