Bid Manager

Overview

As Bid Manager you will steer complex proposals within Stantec’s Water and Energy & Resources sectors, translating technical insights into compelling narratives that win opportunities. You’ll lead a cross-disciplinary bidding team and collaborate with marketing professionals and designers to shape a winning story around large water and energy projects. Your work fuels growth and strengthens market positioning across the region, while driving excellence and upskilling the bidding team. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on proposal leadership in a collaborative culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the bid lifecycle from opportunity capture to submission, ensuring strategic alignment and win potential.
• Translate technical content into compelling, client-focused narratives that differentiate proposals.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, marketing, design) to deliver cohesive bid documentation.
• Drive process improvements and upskill the bidding team to raise overall bid quality and efficiency.
• Manage multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines, maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.

Key requirements

• BSc/MSc in business management, marketing or environmental/engineering related discipline (desirable)
• Excellent time management, coordination and organisational skills
• Excellent written English
• Ability to engage/collaborate with professionals across disciplines and levels
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Team player with ability to work independently
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and Adobe Acrobat
