Overview

In this role you will support project closeout activities across multiple projects from the Edmonton office, collaborating with field teams, clients, and design/construction partners. You drive verification, documentation, and compliance tasks to ensure smooth closeout and accountability. You’ll interpret drawings, track obligations, and coordinate with municipal authorities to finalize project records. This is a hands-on role with mentorship from senior project management, offering growth through exposure to diverse projects and jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate inspections with municipalities, developers, and contractors
  • Conduct field inspections and prepare detailed reports, cost estimates, and deficiency assessments
  • Manage CCC/FAC documentation packages and submit to municipal authorities
  • Prepare CCC/FAC applications
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to support inspections, POR preparation, and repair coordination
  • Review servicing agreements to confirm obligations, timelines, and infrastructure requirements
  • Track maintenance periods, schedule repairs, and verify completion of contract items
  • Perform onsite construction monitoring
  • Maintain and update project certificate tracking spreadsheets
  • Act as primary contact for surface FAC improvements and municipal correspondence
  • Streamline internal processes, including digital submissions to ePlan/eServices
  • Confirming measurements and payment of actual quantities including concrete and asphalt items

Key requirements

  • 2 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Acquired project management experience through on-the job consulting projects
  • Be familiar with construction repair methods for surface FAC requirements
  • Have a strong understanding of municipal construction design standards across multiple jurisdictions
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Documentation management for CCC/FAC
  • Digital submissions to ePlan/eServices
  • Field inspections and field reporting
  • Measurement and quantity verification (concrete and asphalt)
