Overview
As Solutions Architect, you will guide architectural decisions across a varied portfolio to support the group’s ERP and operating model roadmap. You’ll operate across modern platforms and legacy systems, balancing technical trade-offs with business impact and engaging senior stakeholders. You’ll ensure governance and resilience across multiple change initiatives, working closely with IT leadership to shape the technology direction and transformation. This role offers the chance to influence large-scale integration and data architecture within a group focused on growth and efficiency.

Responsibilities
- Provide architectural thinking and governance for a broad set of change initiatives
- Align architecture with the Group ERP and operating model roadmaps
- Navigate between modern platforms and legacy systems as workload demands
- Translate technical trade-offs into commercial terms for stakeholders
- Collaborate with IT leadership, transformation director, and external partners
- Ensure integration and data architecture are robust across multi-system environments
- Communicate complex concepts clearly to business stakeholders and suppliers
- Oversee governance and standards to maintain resilience and alignment
Key requirements
- Significant hands-on solution architecture experience across complex, multi-system environments
- Comfort with entering unfamiliar technology areas rather than deep expertise in every system
- Background in distribution, warehousing or digital sales environments
- Strong integration and data architecture knowledge
- Solid governance and stakeholder communication skills
- Exposure to Dynamics 365, Sage or NetSuite would help
- Background in bespoke or legacy technologies like C#, Delphi or COBOL is advantageous
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience; architecture certification (TOGAF or similar) would be a plus
