Overview
In this client-side role, you drive sustainability across a large urban regeneration portfolio, shaping strategy and advising cross-functional teams. You will translate client objectives into actionable intelligence and sustainability improvements, collaborating with facilities, engineering, and estate teams. Your work spans regulatory compliance, energy management, and data-driven business cases to unlock value and reduce environmental impact. This is an opportunity to lead transformative, multi-site initiatives at scale.
Responsibilities
- Maintain knowledge of current and emerging energy regulations and ensure estate compliance
- Link utility performance to asset management and operations to build strategic business cases
- Align BI activity with client strategy and tactical requirements
- Review and manage monthly SUS/utilities/waste sustainability reporting
- Develop supplier relationships to deliver sustainability improvements
- Collaborate with the BEMS engineer and Environmental Project Manager to provide technical support
- Assist in developing and implementing an estate sustainability strategy across infrastructure and FM service-lines
- Engage with internal teams to disseminate best-practice and enable cross-site delivery
Key requirements
- Degree and/or postgraduate degree in a relevant subject
- Professional membership of IEMA, CIWM, or CIBSE
- Experience in sustainability for buildings/facilities
- Understanding of CRC, ESOS, DECs, MEES, and Waste Management requirements
- Experience with Energy Management Systems (ISO50001)
- Strong customer relationship skills
- Financial and business awareness
- Experience using BREEAM
