Overview

In this role you drive market risk management and pricing for exotic equity derivatives, working within Global Equity Derivatives to support risk controls and client-focused trading. You will collaborate with finance engineering to enhance models and manage risk within approved limits, while ensuring regulatory and internal policy compliance. The position sits as a Material Risk Taker and involves significant interaction with Sales, trading desks, and the EDT for model risk reduction. You will operate in a high-impact environment that shapes risk-aware, tech-enabled trading solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage market risk across Exotic Europe Index and Single Stock books within approved limits
  • Provide timely pricing updates and back up GED trading team when needed
  • Partner with financial engineering to improve the EQD model suite and risk capabilities
  • Ensure trading adheres to the Desk’s Volcker operating plan
  • Assist EDT team in testing model enhancements to reduce post-implementation risk
  • Communicate with clients on equity market volatility as requested by Sales

Key requirements

  • Experience in equity exotic options trading with demonstrable risk management track record
  • Deep knowledge of global equity derivatives and structured products (autocallables, issuer callables, multi-asset, barrier options)
  • Advanced understanding of derivatives modelling, including Local Stochastic Volatility (LSV) frameworks and correlation skew dynamics
  • Fully licensed for trading stocks, options, and futures in European markets
  • Degree in Finance, Mathematics, or related field
  • Proficient in Python, VBA, and Excel for quantitative analysis and automation
