Overview

In this role, you will act as a specialist for electronic trading risk management, overseeing risk controls and the ET control framework to safeguard orderly markets. You will engage with front-office, technology, and control functions to strengthen risk oversight across equities and fixed income. You will monitor real-time warnings and assist investigations into electronic trading issues, regulatory inquiries, and reviews. The position offers cross-functional collaboration within a global bank that values data-driven decision making and innovation, including exploration of AI-enabled workflow improvements.

Responsibilities

  • evaluate risk related to electronic trading, focusing on market impact and disorder prevention
  • oversee front-office execution controls, control appropriateness, thresholds, processes and procedures
  • evolve the electronic trading control framework and global programs
  • coordinate and present at supervisory and governance forums/committees
  • support Equities and Fixed Income businesses with ET risk management, collaborating with ET business, ET COO, Technology, Compliance and other Control Functions
  • perform real-time monitoring of warnings, alerts and alarms for execution controls
  • assist in investigations and responses to ET issues, internal reviews and regulatory inquiries and exams

Key requirements

  • experience in Electronic Trading, IT or Quant roles at a bank or asset manager
  • familiarity with equities and fixed income markets regulation and electronic trading concepts
  • understanding of market structure and its impact on control effectiveness
  • regulatory/control-driven remedial program experience
  • ability to work with complex datasets and deliver small technical projects
  • ability to prioritize in a fast-changing environment and proactively resolve problems
  • Python, Tableau, KDB skills are beneficial (not required)
