Finance Director

Overview

In this Finance Director role, you will shape and execute the financial strategy for a premium electrical connector designer and manufacturer serving aerospace, automotive, and oil & gas. You will lead the finance function from Aldershot, driving growth, governance, and cross‑border reporting across Europe. Expect to oversee complex P&L, balance sheets, cash flow and consolidation while guiding commercial change initiatives. This position offers hybrid working and a chance to influence strategic financial decisions in a manufacturing context.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the financial business strategy and oversee performance against it
• Lead growth initiatives and provide vision, direction and leadership for the finance function
• Spearhead commercial change programs and drive efficiency
• Manage P&L, Balance Sheets, Cashflow and Group reporting including consolidation
• Oversee audit activities and exposure to European accounting
• Coordinate operations exposure across wider Europe
• Support international operations and governance across multiple European sites

Key requirements

• Experience in manufacturing/distribution of products
• Experience leading commercial change programs
• Strong understanding of P&L, Balance Sheets, Cashflow and group reporting including consolidation
• Audit experience within practice and exposure to European accounting
• Exposure to operations within wider Europe
• Location in Aldershot, Hampshire and willingness to work in hybrid arrangement
