Overview

In this role you will bring high-volume consumer products from concept to mass production, contributing across consumer electronics and potentially medical, life science and defence sectors. You’ll join a multidisciplinary team known for innovation and delivery, working across the full development lifecycle and helping solutions reach deployment with real impact. The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, cross-sector collaboration and shaping technology-led initiatives within a supportive consulting culture.

Responsibilities

  • Develop electronic designs using established workflows (Altium, Cadence)
  • Cover analogue and digital circuit design with modern embedded platforms
  • Balance design BOM costs with project constraints
  • Lead from concept generation through to product launch and ongoing improvement
  • Deliver designs into service and mass production with regulatory awareness
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Collaborate with team to address challenges from first principles on the bench

Key requirements

  • Proven experience in electronic design and implementation
  • Experience with Altium and Cadence tools
  • Strong analogue and digital circuit design skills and embedded platforms
  • Track record of delivering products to mass production
  • Understanding of UK, EU, US regulatory standards and compliance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Hands-on approach and collaborative problem-solving attitude
  • Ability to gain UK SC security clearance (nationality requirement)
