Overview
In this role you lead electrical compliance across our manufacturing sites, ensuring safe and efficient operation of HV and LV infrastructure. You collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and utility providers to maintain maintenance, inspection, and improvement programs that secure reliability. You drive regulatory governance, risk actions, and safety standards while guiding infrastructure projects and energy performance initiatives. You will mentor engineering teams and foster a safety-first, collaborative culture to support sustainable growth.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate electrical compliance activities across manufacturing sites
- Oversee maintenance, inspection and improvement programmes for critical electrical assets
- Review risk assessments, method statements, permits, isolations, and lockout-tagout processes
- Ensure compliance with electrical legislation and equipment regulations
- Identify risks and implement corrective actions to strengthen governance
- Deliver infrastructure improvement projects in collaboration with engineering and maintenance teams
- Monitor energy performance and support productivity, efficiency, and sustainability initiatives
- Provide technical leadership and coaching to develop engineering capability
Key requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable discipline
- Significant experience in senior electrical engineering, compliance, maintenance or project environments
- Strong track record with high-voltage electrical systems and infrastructure
- Expert knowledge of electrical regulations, risk assessment, contractor management, safety and asset reliability
- Knowledge of PLCs and fault finding (beneficial)
- Exposure to manufacturing, utilities, energy management or continuous improvement programmes
- Credible and influential leader with effective communication across levels
- High-voltage authorised person responsibilities (valued)
- IOSH certification or equivalent health and safety qualifications (advantageous)
