Senior Manager – Product & Operational Taxes – Asset Management

Overview

In this role you will join KPMG’s Financial Services Product & Operational Taxes team to support UK and pan-European investor tax reporting for a diverse FS client base. You will lead and develop a team, deepen technical expertise, and act as a primary contact for client projects. You’ll help identify opportunities to expand services and work on innovative client propositions with cross‑functional teams. The role combines compliance, advisory work and business development in a fast‑growing area of tax. You will collaborate globally to deliver high‑quality FS tax solutions and shape market offerings.

Responsibilities

• Manage, deliver and grow a portfolio of UK and pan-European investor tax reporting engagements
• Lead and develop a team of KPMG professionals
• Develop and maintain high technical knowledge across product & operational taxes
• Support management of client relationships and projects as a focal point for clients
• Understand client business and coordinate with KPMG teams to identify tax service opportunities
• Develop and advise on cutting-edge client propositions
• Involve in business development and proposal activity
• Collaborate with UK and global KPMG teams to provide top-quality tax support
• Contribute to development of new client propositions, including tech-enabled solutions and delivery models
• Advocate for KPMG and the operational taxes team to grow the business through high-quality service

Key requirements

• Evidence of deep technical ability in tax or financial services (qualification in tax, audit, finance, law, regulation, or substantial industry experience)
• Practical experience with product & operational taxes within a Financial Services context
• Understanding of financial markets, participants and products
• Excellent project management, delegation/coaching and client-facing delivery skills
• Familiarity with emerging technologies and ability to apply them to evolving tax regulations
• Ability to translate new tax developments into client propositions
