Responsibilities
- Lead recruitment and retention of academic and research staff
- Provide expert HR advice on disciplinary, grievance, and employee relations matters
- Manage TUPE transfers and organisational restructures
- Co-lead the department’s administration team and improve procedures and systems
- Support strategic management of the department in alignment with the Head of Department
- Collaborate with senior staff to enable research and teaching goals
Key requirements
- Degree-level education
- Comprehensive experience delivering high-quality HR support and guidance
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with diverse staff groups
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience in or exposure to higher education is desirable
