Business Tax Senior Manager (Property)

Overview

In this role you provide proactive property-related tax advisory to a diverse client base, working closely with partners to deliver high-quality guidance, manage junior staff, and contribute to business development. You will handle structuring, group reorganisations, international matters, and due diligence, while maintaining strong client relationships and delivering value. The position sits in the firm’s property sector team, shaping tax strategies for owner-managed businesses, property funds and real estate groups. This is a hands-on, client-facing opportunity with significant scope to impact clients and the firm.

Responsibilities

• Provide property tax advisory on structuring (e.g., company/LLP/funds) and group reorganisations
• Lead tax due diligence projects
• Advise on acquisitions, disposals, and joint ventures tax structuring
• Review tax provisions in SPAs, including warranties and indemnities
• Manage a small portfolio of large property clients and ensure high-quality service
• Identify tax-efficient opportunities and coordinate with partners to implement
• Manage billing and WIP; supervise and develop junior staff
• Participate in internal property sector initiatives and represent the firm at events
• Drive business development for the property tax services
