Overview
In this role, you support Deloitte’s audit independence by assessing non‑audit services and business relationships against independence rules. You advise on policy queries and help align teams with firm guidelines, regulatory obligations, and governance. You will interact with senior stakeholders across the UK, Swiss member firms, and the global network, contributing to risk management and continuous improvement within DISCoE. The position combines policy guidance, documentation, and regulatory reporting to protect independence and public trust.

Responsibilities
- Provide guidance on entertainment, gifts and donations queries with support from senior team members
- Review service requests for independence compliance and prepare supporting documentation
- Liaise with client teams to monitor billing and maintain records
- Advise on independence queries and audit-related issues
- Contribute to reporting and audit committee materials
- Support regulatory documentation and monitoring (e.g., FRC, PCAOB)
- Collaborate with internal teams to keep systems and data up to date
- Support projects and continuous improvement initiatives within DISCoE
Key requirements
- Strong communication and presentation skills for senior stakeholders
- Ability to deliver high-quality outputs under time pressure and SLAs
- Highly organised with analytical, consultative, and decision-making skills
- Strong report writing with attention to detail under deadlines
- Confidence with Microsoft products and general application usage, including AI tools where appropriate
