Overview
In this role you will lead health and safety across UK and EMEA sites for a global retailer. You will partner with cross-functional teams to embed compliance, risk reduction, and wellbeing initiatives. You drive audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations to foster a proactive safety culture. You also support sustainability efforts and align safety practices with regional legislation. This is a strategic, impact-focused position with visibility across facilities, stores, and distribution centres.

Responsibilities
- Lead health & safety compliance across all EMEA sites, conducting audits, risk assessments, and implementing improved strategies
- Manage duty of care within third-party distribution centres, offices, and retail stores to uphold safety standards
- Develop and implement safety policies aligned with regional legislation and best practices
- Collaborate with HR, operations, and sustainability teams to integrate environmental and employee wellbeing initiatives
- Support incident investigations, drive corrective actions, and promote a proactive safety culture
Key requirements
- Proven health & safety management experience in complex, multi-site environments (retail or hospitality exposure preferred)
- Strong knowledge of UK and EU health and safety legislation, including risk assessment and compliance
- Professional H&S qualification such as NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
