Overview

As a Key Account Manager for Carrier’s Data Centre segment in UK & Ireland, you drive new business and strengthen strategic relationships with hyperscalers, colocation providers and end users. You’ll align cross-functional teams to deliver from order to commissioning and sustain an insight-driven pipeline. This role offers exposure to a fast-growing data centre market and the opportunity to shape Carrier’s footprint with high-impact customers. You will operate with a consultative, value-driven approach to win multi-year growth.

Responsibilities

  • Identify net-new opportunities across hyperscaler, colocation, edge, enterprise and replacement cycles
  • Serve as primary contact for strategic and hyperscaler accounts; build long-lasting relationships at multiple levels
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations and Project Management to ensure successful delivery from order to commissioning
  • Build and maintain a robust, insight-led pipeline and backlog aligned to a strategic account plan
  • Run disciplined prospecting cadence (outreach, events, referrals) to open new buying centres and projects
  • Represent Carrier at industry events and networking forums to build brand and pipeline

Key requirements

  • Strong experience in Key Account Management, sales or business development within data centre infrastructure
  • HVAC/chilled-water and airside cooling experience valued
  • Proven track record managing large, complex accounts and delivering ambitious targets
  • Technical knowledge of hydronic chilled-water and airside products relevant to data centre cooling
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business value propositions and ROI
  • Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills; excellent time management and organisation
  • Willingness to travel and utilise regional offices when required
  • IT literacy with MS Office skills
  • Hunter mentality with proactive pipeline generation and disciplined execution
