Senior Conveyancer (Solicitor or Legal Executive)

Overview

In this role you will take ownership of a varied residential property caseload within a well regarded regional firm. You will handle sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity for freehold and leasehold properties, with scope for more complex tasks such as development work and shared ownership. You will run your own files with support, nurture client relationships, and help develop junior colleagues. The role offers progression toward partnership and a balanced, supportive culture in North Devon.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of residential transactions (sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity) for freehold and leasehold properties
• Take on more complex matters (development work, shared ownership, easements, bespoke drafting) as experience allows
• Run own files with appropriate support and maintain strong client relationships
• Contribute to the development and mentoring of junior colleagues
• Engage with clients to nurture relationships and provide high-quality service

Key requirements

• ideally 3+ years’ PQE (or equivalent) in residential conveyancing
• confident managing a busy caseload with minimal supervision
• experience across a wide range of residential transactions
• willingness to handle or learn more complex conveyancing work
