Estimating Associate Director/ Project Director Defence

In this role you will lead and shape estimating for defence-focused projects, working within Turner & Townsend’s UK Estimating team to produce accurate cost plans and support bid opportunities. You will drive estimating best practices, mentor staff, and interface with clients and consultants across key defence programmes. The position offers exposure to major programmes, opportunities to win new work, and a chance to influence outcomes on high‑impact projects. Responsibilities

• Lead production of accurate cost estimates and cost plans for projects/programmes
• Promote estimating best practice within Turner & Townsend
• Support departmental objectives and stay current with technical developments
• Lead or support bids for new work and develop business opportunities
• Direct and mentor staff on tasks; act as role model
• Interface with clients and other consultants across project stages
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and contribute to knowledge management

Key requirements

• Proven estimating leadership experience
• Defence sector estimating experience
• Qualified in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with relevant experience
